Mugwort, saffron and wine
On 1st June the Magickal Women Conference, organised by Sue Terry and Erzebet Barthold, took place in London. It was a ground breaking gathering, remarkable for revealing the diversity and depth of women’s magical practice. The conference provided a space for women to share and discuss their approaches and experiences, to show their art, to tell their stories; it was timely, moving and inspiring, and all in service of the mysteries and magic of the feminine.
I love the chemistry of real world events, they are so much more than the sum of their parts, so much more than you imagine they will be. What Sue and Erze created will continue to resonate, and I look forward to the next conference, to the happenings and conversations that take place in the spaces between lectures and workshops, to the mysteries shared, to wine with friends, old and new.
It was an honour to sponsor the event, and to participate as a speaker. An audio recording of my talk by Chaweon Koo of Witches & Wine is now available online. While I exceeded my 20 minute limitation, it was nonetheless necessary to cut much of the material I intended to use. The complete text will be published in due course.
