When you order from us, you buy under our terms & conditions, and by placing an order it is deemed that you have read and accepted these.
We accept Paypal which enables us to also accept payment from the major credit and debit cards. All prices are in pounds sterling.
Those in the UK may pay by cheque – please write to us for our postal address.
Alternatively, payment may be made by bank transfer. If this is preferred, email us and we will give you our bank details. Please note that all banking charges should be paid by the customer.
Our fine editions may be paid for by installment, at our discretion. Reservations are secure upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit.
We charge postage at cost. If you order more than one title, we will combine postage and refund any extra paid via paypal. Alternatively, if you plan to order a number of books, email us with the details and we will be able to work out the most cost efficient method of shipping and give you an estimate for the total.
We reply to all orders personally, and aim to do so within 24 hours if not considerably sooner. If you do not receive an email from us confirming receipt of your order, do write to check that it has been received.
All titles bought directly from us, whether hardback or paperback, will be accompanied by the digital edition (if available for the title), which will be sent manually with our personal acknowledgement of your order. Our digital editions are free of Digital Rights Management (DRM-free), but are subject to the terms of this license. You own the file, and you can use it on any of your devices in perpetuity. You are prohibited from uploading Scarlet Imprint digital editions to any website or file-sharing network, or in any other way making them available for distribution, sharing, copying, downloading, or reselling.
We endeavor to dispatch books within 48 hours of receipt of the order.
Most orders are sent via the Royal Mail first class in the UK, and airmail overseas. For multiple orders a courier may be used, for which a contact phone number will be necessary. As a guide, delivery to Europe takes approximately 4 days to a week; delivery to the States and worldwide a week to ten days. Delivery times are however, subject to customs clearance, local services etc which may affect estimated delivery.
All Bibliothèque Rouge paperbacks ordered in the US and Canada are sent by our US distributor, via USPS. Delivery is usually a few days.
Fine editions are sent using a tracked/signed for service or a courier, for which we will need a contact phone number. Please make sure that you include one with your order. Most courier services do not deliver to P.O. box addresses, so we kindly request that you give us a home or work address when ordering.
Delivery to some countries has presented us with persistent problems, even when using tracked and signed for services. As a result we can only send books to Brazil and Mexico at the risk of the recipient.
It is our policy to replace books that are lost in the post. If you do not receive your delivery in the expected time, please let us know. An item is not considered officially ‘lost’ by Royal Mail until 20 days (30 days for overseas), after this time we will send a replacement.
If the book that you have purchased has physical faults, either in its manufacture or from damage in the shipping process, please email us to request a replacement. We cannot consider returned copies made for other reasons.
